Joy is a 2015 American biographical comedy-drama film written and directed by David O. Russell and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper. The film is about a struggling single mother of two children, Joy Mangano (portrayed by Lawrence), who invented the Miracle Mop and is the president of Ingenious Designs. The film was released on December 25, 2015 by 20th Century Fox.
